I was able to drive mine out with a small drift punch, be careful not to damage the threads. If it won't come out you might need the special tool or design something using a c-clamp. The hardest thing for me in the project was getting the seal to go in straight. It was a pain! Also, be careful not to over tighten the locking pin nut when you are done. I sheared one off and it did not seem that tight. Good luck.
