EMSEMS;
I also recently purchased a 92 TC (unfortunately, it's an automatic). My first project was the seats. The front bottom surfaces had been replaced by Vinyl, which is apparently not good for heat transfer from the heated seats. I didn't do anything about the Vinyl yet, so I'd be interested to learn how your seat replacements work. I took off the upper portion of the front seats, and restitched contour wire into the seats (previous owner had removed most of it). I found that a tension type cable within the seat structure had broken on both front seats - I think it prevents the seat from falling forward too quickly when you unlatch it to let someone in the back. I also repaired the heated seats - wires had been cut. So far, I 've only got the driver's side working - this may be related to the cut passenger seat belt wires. I still have not found where these are supposed to connect, and the Bentley manual does not show this wiring. I also had some work done on the back seats, since the contour fabric was broken as well. Getting that rear seat fabric off and back on is a real trick - let me know if you're going to attempt it.
I also bought a new keyless entry/transmitter and chips (the Dealer was convinced that the 92 did not have keyless entry, even though I pointed it out to them on the original window sticker). Once I had the new chips in, it worked, which is surprizing since this alarm system is apparently not very reliable. Let me know if you have any trouble getting the rear seat out (to replace the chip in the alarm system), etc.
Regards,
Charles
