Where does O2 sensor enter the firewall? A/F gauge....

Hey all
I've had an 2-1/16" summit racing digital air/fuel ratio gauge in my 1990 SPG for a while now, powered & grounded, just haven't tapped into the O2 sensor yet. So basically is just fills a hole in the SAS gauge panel for right now ( :
Instead of drilling through the firewall and making splices inside the engine compartment, where can I tap into the O2 sensor on the inside of the car? It has to go into the ECU, so where does is actually enter that I can have enough room to splice it? What color is it? Any markings on it?
Well... maybe I'm going about this wrong, maybe entering the firewall IS best. If anyone can provide any help due to past expereiences, please let me know ( :
Now I'll finally be able to tell if I'm running rich/lean/stoich with this Trent RRFPR & Bosch 30# injectors!
Thanks so much for your time & help!
I'll post A/F results after I hook it up!
Thanks again,
Taylor
