Inoperative horn (non-SRS) Posted by Pete [Email] (#2000) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Pete) on Thu, 13 Jun 2002 15:44:20 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I've searched the board and haven't found this problem on non-SRS cars. The horn on my '88 900-T (no airbag) abruptly quit working (coincided with the major service & front motor mount done at the local SAAB shop). None of the 3 horn buttons will actuate it. I've checked the horn plug connectors, the fuse, and swapped the relay. Is there another harness connector that could have been affected by the front mount replacement?
The only other thing I can think of is the contact in the steering wheel hub. Does anyone have any experience with this, or any advice? Repairable or replacement only? Will I need a puller for the wheel?
Thanks.
