Unfrigginbelievable! Actually, no, I believe it. Heck, I've been watching my fuel door steadily droop as the plastic boot has been cracking along the 4? screws that attach to the body. A scrap yard donor door and spout assembly is a good idea. Be careful removing that assembly. The hoses are rather snug even with the clamps removed and plastic cracks easily.

You should be able to find a reasonably close to the original touch up paint if you can't find a new black door. I've also successfully used the reusable/disposable spray guns found in hardware stores and Home Depot style places - if you can only get paint in a (small) can. Do dealers have touch-up paint on hand?
