Did you wax the car following the clay? All the clay does is pick little bits of debris and dust out of the paint. It has an incidental polishing effect at the same time, which helps shine things up. After doing so, it's imperative that you hit it with some high quality wax to "reseal" the paint - it'll readily aborb a large amount of that dust right back. If your car happens to be black, and the paint is in generall good shape, you might try using some like Kit's Scratch Remover *all over the car*. It's a very mild abrasive, won't hurt clear coat, and helps get little nicks and swirls out of the paint. I do this *once* on just about every Saab I buy, then hit it with 3M Glaze and 3M wax. Does a great job, lasts months, and keeps the car looking sharp even after multiple washes.
