Hello,

I mentioned that my top made an empty ketchup bottle sound the other day. I removed the drivers side piston, which had been leaking apparrently, since it was covered in oil (and the source of the noise). I opened it and found the o-ring was soft and twisted. I replaced it with a viton o-ring (from McMaster- Carr), 1/2" ID, 3/32" wall thickness fit perfectly, (astonishingly, when I disassembled this thing at work, there was exactly that o-ring, new and ready to be used, sitting right there on the workbench next to me - spooky) , so I guess it should be a 13 mm ID x 2.5 mm wall to be exactly right. Now I need to put it back - what oil should I use? I have seen both NAPA hydraulic fluid and non detergent 10w30 recommended. Anyone have an opinion on the matter?
