You can easily reach them from the left speaker whole, but you can't get your eyes in there at the same time. So everything have to go by feel.
Keep the ignition off, otherwise it's big chances that you fry the circuit board while poking around down there.
It takes less than 5 min to do, and I do it on all the cars when replacing fanswitch and thermostat, or faulttracing an overheat problem.
If you have a turbo, you need to disconnect the vacuum hose to turbo gauge to be able to reach the temp gauge nut.
