The wheel bearing is held in place in the hub by two big snaprings, one on each side.
The tolerance between the two snapring grooves and the thickness on wheelbearing is a little bit to great, and it allows the bearing to move between the two snaprings.
It's possible to fix but takes a little bit of wrenching and two new bearings.
Saab even had a shim kit out back in those days, where you could place different shims between one of the snaprings and the wheelbearing side.
The other option is to use strong loctite when installing the new bearings, that might not last forever though because of the stresses put on the wheel bearing when turning and driving.
