advance units? i got a used unit from the junk yard, but the vacuum from my engine doesn't seem strong enough to advance the timing. what i think is the result is my car skipping and popping at idle and lower rpm's. so is there a certain vacuum pressure that the timing is supposed to be advanced, or is it just supposed to be any vacuum at all? also, is the oil filler cap supposed to be completely air tight? i think it should, but the little gasket lets a fair amount of air in. thanks.
