friend broke car....not happy

im so aggitated whenever something on my car is broke....and this is no exception. Last night i was out with my buddy and another friend and it was like 11:45 and we had to get something from this guys house so we pull up and are really quiet as to not annoy his sleeping parents....so when he gets back he gets in the car and shuts the door softly so the lock doesnt quite catch....then he does the most idiotic thing i could think of...as we get alittle up the road he(btw he's 18 195lbs and can bench ~245) puts both hands on the strap/handle and pulls as hard as he can trying to get the door fully closed. as soon as i realized what he was doing i swong my left fist towards him as hard as possible but mid swing the entire plastic peice the handle was attached to ripped out of the car. i was sooooo mad.

so now i dont know how to fix it... luckaly it didnt strip the front screw out...it broke the plastic on the frame so now there is a small u shaped cut out where the head of the screw rested. I was thinking i could unscrew it and put a washer on the head of the screw and put it back over the handle frame and tighten it up.

Anyone else have a good temporary or permanant solution?
