that has worked really well. I considered getting a Husco one but I don't think they have any storage space inside them plus I thought they're expensive.

The JCWhitney one is all black with a padded lid that you can lift up to keep stuff in -- like sunglasses, napkins, etc. It was about $45 with shipping. It blends in well because it's black like the console, rectangular and kind of stoic/serious looking like the dash.

It doesn't have a cupholder but I always felt concerned having any liquids perched over the ignition in case of spills.

This armrest sits on two thin brackets. Each bracket has 2 feet and they straddle the emergency brake in front and the two back feet straddle the back seat's ashtray. The seat belt fasteners fit nicely inbetween them.

When I got this armrest it sat too high so that my shoulder was hunched up when I put my arm on it. To lower the armrest, I bent the ends of the metal brackets 90 degrees outward in a vise to make little feet that would sit on top of the console. I also lowered it by sawing some length off the ends of the bracket to get the right height for me and my shoulder.

Finally, to attach the armrest in place, I bought some velcro in Wal-mart's sewing/craft department and stuck a little piece to the cosole and the other piece to the bottoms of the feet. This keeps it secure and it is easy to remove for any reason in the future.

If you would like pics just email or post. If so, I'll run out to the car and take them. Then it will be clearer and you can see what I'm talking about.
