I have a 89 900 turbo convertible and love it! I have a couple of questions for the more gear headed than me.
My brake cables were replaced about 8 months ago (mechanic) and the hand brake works but seems loose. About a month after that the top started acting up. I got the clicking from the switches, but it hasn't worked since. In the meantime I replaced the top and in doing so released the pressure (value in trunk) so I could manually raise and lower - okay 6 months later I am still doing it manually - I don't mind droughts...
My theory is - tighten the hand brake making sure it activates the top switch, check the top switch (fuse is okay) and if all else fails onto hydraulics - is that a good strategy??
Also my speedometer and odometer don't work - a low mileage saab for sale? - seriously the Bentley book indicates that taken the dash out is relatively smooth - what is the real scoop?
Last one - what is the best fog light to get and should I get a saab switch or use something else? (I have the spot under the normal lights)
Thanks,
Nick
