Hello

Like I posted before, I was going to swap my stock outer swaybar bushings with George's Imports/Powerflex (which include the bracket) onto my 90 SPG. Didn't get any response here on the BB, so I decided to tackle the problem myself. No one gave me a clue to what would happen next.

I took off the wheel, jacked up the car on one side, removed the two nuts holding the bushing bracket in place, pried off the bracket, and pop...

The swaybar, being lifted only on one side jumps straight up, and the bushing and bracket are pressed right up against the brake. The bushing cant be removed, nor can the bracket. There is no way to physically pull the swaybar back down so the bracket will slip back over the two bolts.. guessing about 1000lbs of force would be needed to pull the swaybar back down.

The car is not going anywhere until the swaybar can be pulled back down and the bracket can be slipped onto the two bolts. I don't even care if I keep the stock rubber bushing. My car will not be able to be driven until this is solved.

If I go buy a floorjack and lift the front end up evenly, will this solve the problem?

WHAT TO DO?!?

Please please help as my car is sitting in my driveway, and I need to go to work in 5 hours!
