Guys, I am back with an idea to try and solve a ragtop operation problem. Want to see if others have tried this, or if it is a good idea - My ex-wifes' (don't ask) 89 ragtop runs pretty well, is a neat little car, but still has a tendency to blow the fender-mounted fuse - the one closest to the battery. After a number of standard remedial adventures, like removal of complete hydro unit & bleeding, lubrication of moving parts, and a ground test, I still have lotsa blown fuses on this thing. I know that on more recent ragtops manufacturers often use circuit breakers, thought this could be a good retro-fit for this god-darn fuse. Least, then she doesn't have to open the hood and swap fuses all the time....
BTW, yeah, it all ultimately is about resistance and my ground somewhere near the battery, I will search and destroy as best as I can. But I thought this circuit breaker idea might work pretty well.....
