Made almost the same distance for 6 years, mine was almost all freeway, with 4 stoplights. My commuter was a well worn 80 900T with 5 speed that I know inside out. It put me on the side of the road once in 5 years, fuel pump relay failed (It had been giving warning signs) and a spare piece of wire shoved in place of the relay got me to work on time. Think of the wear items, brakes, clutch, alternator, and keep on top of them. In town stop and go is going to take its toll quicker than freeway. When the alternator went, I was able to get home on the battery. Made one trip with a slipping clutch when a finger broke after 200,000 miles. Check the brake pads when you rotate the tires. I keep a book, meter, and a couple basic hand tools in the trunk.
