OK, went this morning to my local mechanic up here at school (Marietta OH) Indy guy, who does mostly domestic and the ocassional import, but also does full custom exhaust systems. Told him about my driveability problems and the thought that it could be the cat/muffler. He checked the flow out the pipe when it "was doing it" and it was great. Put the car up on a lift, pulled the cat, looked just fine.
I told him about all the crap which I have replaced. He is almost positive it is dirty injectors. There is no rattle sound from the cat, nor muffler. Also, when he was describing to me what the procredure for cleaning them was, he twisted one of the injectors back and forth, and recommended lube before they are taken out. When i went to leave, the car seemed to miss for a few seconds...giving it gas, cleared it up.
Rather than pay him the flat fee of $70 (only $25 per hour for reg repairs) I was looking over archives and it seems to be a very simple job. Few injector clips, 2 zip ties, two fuel rail bolts, some lube, and injector cleaner. Is this as simple as it looks, sounds and "feels"?
(They have never been cleaned that I know of. I bought car at 85k)
Thanks guys..
