Interesting you should ask. I was getting new keys cut for my '86 900 at a locksmith. I made the mistake of asking him of what he thought of graphite or moly. He said SAAB ignitions were some of the poorest designs ever made, where a little tiny key turns heavy, clunky mechanisms which bind up the keys and snap them off (that was why I was getting a new key). He said they had been a notorious problem, and that putting oil or graphite in the ignition will eventially cake up and make it even more prone to key snapping. He suggested teflon was the only thing that he ever found that remained slippery, and did not clump in the mechanism. But even at that, he found that the ignitions were still a design problem, that any lubricants could not solve.
