It's not vicadin or herion or booze or gambling.... I'm a saab-o-holic.

Instead of landscaping my yard or paying my property taxes on time, I bought another Saab. Fortunately, there are no more Saabs I am interested in buying. So I don't need any immediate help, except for someone to help me free up some garage space.

Sort of like when a pretty girl walks by, I may appreciate and that's it.(I am married) I will continue to stare if a red SPG or yellow convertible or another Viggen or a 96 happens to be in eye range. I have my fix now.

I have three Saabs now. Fortunately for my wife and myself, I am not interested in antique/9000/9-5 Saabs.

I now have the following 5speed Saabs

88 900T coupe with no back seat, bilstein shocks, SPG wheels, Intrax/G6 springs, 3bar FPR, open K&N, G6 APC, newer turbo pipes, etc..

91 gray SPG Convertible - pretty stock. Has been resprayed and skirts have been repainted before I bought it. This is a good time of year to shop for good deals on convertibles. This is powerful, nice looking, and rare.

99 blue Viggen coupe - pretty stock except for 9-5 aero wheels with 225/45/17 tires.

and...

69 green E-type OTS convertible - pretty stock except for replica D-type/lightweight-E-type allow wheels with AVS intermediates.

92 black Celica ST coupe (my wife's ride)


The guy who I bought this gray convertible from, I'd seen him driving it around this summer and it turned my head and got caught in my mind. My wife was saying how nice it would be to go in a convertible, (she doesn't drive the E-type), soI knew she was hinting strongly about something like this.
Then about the same time I found out he was wanting to sell it, so I did some research, made an offer that I felt was good for both of us, and I got it!

Maybe next year, I'll get around to landscaping the dooryard, finishing off the inside of the house, saving something for retirement, etc....
