Unless you're going to be working as a mechanic, chances are you're only going to be using a timing light 2 or 3 times a year. There is no such thing as a 'more accurate' timing light. It either works or it doesn't. One might be brighter than another, but that's it.
The only differentiators are construction and triggering. Some very cheap timing lights require you to remove a spark plug wire and insert a wire to drive the light. Avoid those. Get a 'clip on' model - there is a plastic clip that clips over plug wire #1, and has two alligator clips to go onto the battery.
Other than looking for a clip-on is construction. Some have nice, metal construction, others cheap plastic. If I used it every day, I'd go for nice metal construction, because it would get a lot of abuse. For the light I'd use 2-3 times a year, get cheap plastic and just don't abuse it.
I got mine at Sears about 20 years ago, and it's held up fine. I'd find the least expensive clip-on model, on sale. Try Sears, try some of the big discount houses (Pep Boys, AutoZone). This isn't a torque wrench - it either works or it won't. And even if it is stury metal, don't drop it.
