Owning both a 900 and a 9-5, I can tell you that the 900 is MUCH better in the snow. Both are 5 speed manual trans cars, but the 9-5 had trouble getting up hills that I have ridden up with ease in my 900.
I am thinking it is the weight distribution, and possibly the narrower tires on the 900 that make it such a superior snow car. The 9-5 also seems lighter on its springs... a bit more float and thus less traction?
