I'll have to follow this one up...
Three years ago back in my youth, we (Alexandria, VA had a snowy day, much like today in fact. I went out to play in the parking lot behing the local Target. After a half hour of autocrossing in the 4" of snow, practicing handbrake turns, drifts, and skid recovery, the novelty had worn off. Driving carefully out of the lot, I slid into a curb and cracked my right front rim. F!. Alignment was out too.
The only thing more fun than handbrake assisted turns, is to put on the chains, and climb the steepest hill in town!!! he he he...
Braking in snow is MUCH more controlable now that my ABS is knackered. I can now at least brake with 1,2 or3 wheels when one locks up now, rather than losing ALL braking on ice... I'll address this in a seperate post...
