The central lock "brain" is bolted to the firewall side of the knee bolster (under the glove box)- it's cable connection might have come loose, but I'd consider that unlikely.
Have you checked your fusebox? I just fixed the "courtesy lighting" on my mom's 9000 by swapping out a burnt fuse, which happened to control the central locking, as well. I can't recall offhand which circuits are shared in c900s. That's the most likely culprit.
Another possibility is bad wiring from the driver's door into the engine compartment.
