if you get the bearing cold enough (i left them overnight in the freezer), it will literally drop in and stop at the circlip. You should really put blue loctite on the bearing to prevent it from shifting around. There was a service buletin about it, SAAB used shims, loctite works fine per Townsend. If you use the loctite you will need a little pressure, like pushing with you hand. The key to doing it this way is very cold, and do it fast. I actially did it in the kitchen so the items were only given a few seconds to warm up or cool down respectively.
The hub insertion did take a few taps with a 16 oz platic hammer, but not much.
