My saab is experiencing the following problem:

After driving long distances (50Mi.) with headlights and foglights on the car loses power and stalls at the first stop after exiting the interstate. It seems to happen only when a lot of components are on (lights, radio, A/C). It definitely only seems to happen when lights/fog lights are on. The sequence of failure is that first the radio shuts down, then the ABS light comes on, then the car dies. It does start right back up again, but it is an annoying problem. In addition, the radio code prompt seems to come on from time to time upon starting car up-don't know if this is related.

Has anyone experienced similar problems? I told my Saab mechanic about this and he is clueless, haven't had time to take it in yet. It has had new regulator within last six months as well as alternator bushings. Any insight would be appreciated.
