You don't need to remove A/C comp to replace W-pump (if that one is leaking) but you need to remove A/C belt tensioner and W-Pump pulley. The two alternator belts can be showed down below and around crankpulley when working on the W-pump.
I use a 2" telescope mirror in my right hand, flashlite in my mouth and a small scraper in my left hand to remove W-pump gasket (almost working as a dentist).
But if you want to remove the A/C comp with bracket, you take the two 6mm Allen bolts out and loosen the 12mm bolt behind alternator. A/C bracket have a cut out that makes it possible to pull straight up without taking the 12mm bolt out.
If you want to replace all the coolant hoses, remove A/C comp first.
Some sort of spacer for upper A-arm is crucial when working on the front suspension and drive axels. It need to be about 3/4 " high and placed between A-arm and car body. Make sure to place it securely so it wont damage the sheetmetal body.
