Moose is a good dog.

Townsend Imports said that when Tom does it, he unbolts the dash and puts it on his lap to replace the motor. That seems to be reasonable, but you have to be careful to not deform it by leaning on it and be careful in refitting the heater control rod and getting all of the flaps around the instrument cluster back. It's probably a good idea to remove the radio and cage to decrease the weight that's carried by the dash structure.
