The slave cylinder on the clutch on my '86 900S failed.
I went out during the cold snap we're having here in the NE, and the pedal went right ot the floor, with no resistance whatsoever.
The mechanic (not my usual one) says that the master cylinder is also shot, since (he says) there is no fluid coming out of the master cylinder.
I'm sort of suspicious that both would fail simultaneously.
In addition, the brakes work fine (although I didn't use them much in moving the car about 200 ft.
So, the question is, why would both fail simultaneously?
The guy is claiming it's going to cost US$500 to do both correctly.
