There is only a switch in the driver's door(no power lock activator). The wiring from the door switch is notoriously bad. Open hood and look just ahead of driver's door post in fender well. You will see a few wire harnesses that love to rot away. I believe that the lock switch from the driver's door is connected to the controller by 3 wires and there is a three wire connector ahead of the door post. Tape up or heat shrink the wires, if bad.
One wire is a ground(black??) and if you jump the ground to the other two alternately, you should get open and close if the controller and the connection to it are OK. If jumping at this connector doesn't instantly work the locks, the problem is in the controller or the connection to it.
The controller is under the passenger side dash and is mounted to the bottom heat distribution plastic duct with a metal bracket. You can get to the controller by unscrewing the end of the duct and bending it down to be able to pull the controller out of the bracket. Duct is stron so don't worry about bending it to get to the controller. Check connections at controller. If OK, and still intermittent the controller is bad. The circuit board aften cracks in these and a printed channel breaks. If you are handy with a soldering iron, you can simply solder a jumper wire to bypass the broken printed channel. Or just get a replacement controller. I believe sobstory has a bin of used working controllers 1-800-583-0370.
