You might have a switch problem. Swap switches is center console.

If that doesn't solve the problem, pull the door panel again and unscrew the two bolts holding the window to the regulator bar. Slide the window up to the top manually and find a piece of wood to stick inside the door to hold the window up. Not very elegant, sorry.

Or if you have time, you can try to troubleshoot the motor problem. Remove the inner door window strip and turn and lift the previously unbolted window out of the door. Unbolt the regulator from the door, unplug the motor(check for bad plugs here) and pull the whole regulator and motor assembly out of the door. Unscrew the motor from the regulator and see if you can get the motor to work both ways. If not, I suspect that the mechanical/electrical stop switch or wiring/contacts in the motor are bad. I suppose you could rebuild this, but I would just get a new motor.
