Asking people around here about tires is like asking about toilet paper preferences. So here's my brand: BFGoodrich. I'm guessing the stock size was 185/65-15 (with a 195/60-15 alternate?), & the speed rating was either S or T.
Size first. 195/60-15s will provide better dry traction but are a fraction shorter than 185/65-15s, so the sidewalls will offer slightly less bump absorption. Since they're 10mm wider, wet traction will suffer, & handling may be slightly degraded (though you may not notice). Perhaps most importantly, you'll gain several pounds per tire in the wider 195 size (for the same brand), so acceleration will suffer noticeably with your engine. Be aware that different brands don't all measure the same. That is, some brands' 185s are as wide as other brands' 195s.
Now for speed rating. T's will be harsher & S's will be softer. S's are built for lower top speeds (118mph vs 112mph?) & so have thinner/softer sidewalls, which gives a more comfy ride.
My recommendation: BFG T/A or Touring T/A in 185/65-15 size with an S speed rating.
