probably not much help. won't hurt of course and the job is lots of fun. you can do it with a dremel, use wd40 for cutting fluid. always put an old head gasket on it to prevent scuffing with missteps. i ported my 86spg and got more potential (200 at the wheel) but others just turn up the boost. i get power at lower boosts and did significant combustion chamber mods for lower c/r ( opposite of wnat you wnat in an n/a). for the n/a about all you really need to do is open it up a little, clean it up and port match. since you are still limited to 6200 r's then the head is still prolly fine. if you get headers and a radical cam however and an aftermarket ecu to let you rev to 8k or so then you will need porting to get the full potential.
