Here's the inside ofg the mirror (if the image didn't load, i'll try to post again)
If you see the piece that is up in the air, that is the back side of the mirror. The mirror simply adheres to the area around the hole on the other side of that piece.
You can see 3 gear "teeth" in the air. Those are accessed from a small hole on the bottom of the unit (when that piece is flat, it'll line up with the hole on the bottom of the unit). Simply stick a VERY narrow screw driver in the hole, and move the gear tooth left or right (i forget which way) so that the entire off-yellow circle rotates . Looking at the inner perimeter of the off-yellow ring, you'll see 4 notches. These notches line up with the protruding notches of the white ring on the bottom and that's how the mirror piece stays attached to the unit. When you put it back on, the notches line up, but then when you move the ring (via the notches with the screwdriver) it "locks" the two rings together.
Hope this gives a little visual, ask any questions you may have (as i'm in a little rush and didn't proof read too well).
