these wheels will not fit your car: all 9000 rims use a 4x108mm bolt pattern and these are 9000 rims; your '86 c900 is 4x100 iirc. starting in '88, c900s also use the 4x108 pattern. in '94, the newgen 900 went to a five-lug hub (beware of super aeros for sale that have this pattern; there are some out there...)
those wheels with gunmetal gray, straight, flat spokes and a polished lip are called "aeros"; those with the curved spokes where they meet the rim are called "super aeros." both are 16x6.5" with a 27mm offset (which, in my opinion, is too low - wheel protrudes too much); they supposedly weigh nearly 25 pounds (the drop in acceleration because of the weight, in my experience, is noticeable: not only are the rims heavy, but 205/50/16 tires are also). the aeros came on 9000s in the early '90s; the super aeros came on 9000 aero models.
the 900 was supposed to get the aeros - there are marketing photos with them mounted - however, the rear axle is not exactly centered in the wheel wells, which usually causes rubbing (especially with the later spgs, which have lower springs starting in 88(??). a 205/50/16 tire is nearly the stock diameter - speedometer is unaffected - but the extra width and low offset is what gives the rubbing. the axle can be moved forward .4" (1cm) fairly easily with either your own welding equipment or a call to Brad Schaffner @ kcsaab.com - he can sell you the parts you need prepped and ready for install.
used, i typically see them for ~$500-$650.
personally, if i were looking for increased performance, i would look into a wider 15" 9000 rim and use the more readily available and less expensive 205/50/15 tire size. there are many different 15x6 and a few 15x7 rims for the 9000; one of my personal faves is the small spoke rim that came on the v6 9000s. speedo error is less than 5% with 205/50/15s.
