you can even pass the snacks with out trouble
I had 89 900 ragtop and it was unreal - in the front seats you could have a normal convo, crank tunes, etc at 75 mph without any problems. The person in the rear is screwed, just from the wind noise, but the front is great. Not sure of the 9-3, but I cannot imagine it too different.
As far as ain, just make sure the top isn't dry rotten - especially check out the areas over the hinges (about the middle of the top and where it transitions to the rear panel) As well make sure the seams at the rear windows - the vertical ones - are still glued, etc.
