Brake bleeding infinity complex

Alright, I've finally gotten near finishing my car, and one of the last things to do was bleeding the brakes.
I first used a "pressure bleeder cap" that I bought off of eBay, thought I got it cleared out. Pedal felt like the master cylinder was going out. After getting calmed down from being incredibly irritated, I decided to give bleeding a go again manually. Got my brother and went at it..
Three times bled all around with the end result having no air, and the pedal feels the same. Hard at first with the car off, then going gradually to the floor with some pressure with the car on. Car off, turned spongey again. I bled again, and then discovered that after bleeding all the air out, if my brother pumped the pedal a dozen times with the bleeder closed, more bursts of air would come out.
As far as I know, the master cylinder cannot introduce air. I cannot find any fluid leaks, nothing really evident. The front calipers are new, just put in. I'm guessing the green "elbows" that go from the caliper to the rubber brake line might be letting air in, or perhaps even the rubber lines.. when the peddle is pumped I can't hear air and I can't feel air.
I drove the car, the brakes aren't too bad off while driving. But it still weirds me out, something's wrong. I don't want to ignore it. I'm pulling straws here, I'd appreciate any input the board could provide.
Thanks for reading!
