I bought this '89 900 red convertible auto transmission, because I love the look but it has been the biggest melon or saab story as some say! I thought what a deal at $1700, then I put in $1300 in 2 months and the transmission goes! Do I spend $3500 and have a new manual transmission installed or cut my losses now? How much is it worth? Where do I find the saab nut who wants to buy it. It is in good exterior shape but need several things other fixed other that the transmission including- power steering reservior leak, electrical issues that seem to be causing problems with car overheating, blinker intermittantly not working when step on brake, and battery not getting charged. then it also has lots of things that don't work- odometer, radio speakers, a/c, heated seats,and who knows what else could go wrong! I would love your advice!
