I complained at the owner of the shop, he was unfriendly and couldn't believe what I'm telling him.
A view in the engine bay of my Saab - he assuemd that I made troubles by working there. No person without a professional background should work an a Saab...
I got no compensation!
So I ordered a new sealing and and have to look after a new rocker cover. The old one is maybe twisted or in a special way damaged. Of course I'm looking for a s/h cover.
The bolts are set to a torque of 14Nm, as recommended by Saab. A lot dark blue Sealing compound was used, seems to be Hylomar.
While removing the rocker cover I discoverd a lot oil standing in the area near the power steering pump. Approx. 0.1 litre. Wrong development?
I cleaned the whole engine with degreaser and petrol, using a toothbrush and old brushes. Now very clean!
Will see if I can hold all fluids IN the engine after I fitted the new sealing to the rocker cover.
It was a messy 4 hours job....
