Charles,
When the engine dies, what else happens with the instruments? Does everything die at the same time? Or does only the tach drop to 0 while everything else stays on? Or does the tach start jumping around? Does it only happen going up or down hills?
Your symptoms are slightly different than what I experienced, so I don't want to say the problem's the same without a few more clues to guess with. Anything else you can relay would be helpful. (Yes, I read all the posts in your separate thread up above this one.)
What other clues can you provide?
