First i would check the hose connections at the resevoir and the pump. If the big hose is leaking at the resevoir, fluid can run down the hose to the pump area. Resevoir nipples are fragile and crack and the leak can run down the hose, too.

This large hose also gets hard as a rock from heat and likes to leak at the pump. A second hose clamp on this hose might stop this leak or if not, you have to replace the hose with a new soft wone that seals tightly.

Then check the hard pipe connections for leaks.

The pump normally doesn't leak, but I had a bad one that started leaking after the 2 of the 3 bolts that hold the pump to the mount became loose. BTW, the pump is removed from above by first removing the engine mount bracket and supporting engine from below with a jack.
