Anyways, last winter I almost had the car to the shop to have the tranny converted, right of the bat. But my wife had a different opinion...
I don't know if you ever drove a C900 manual, but it's like the car is half the weight. Or if you prefer, having an autobox is like towing a boat.
So, if you want to keep enjoying your car, throw in the extra $500 and have fun !
If you wish to resell it soon, then go the cheap way.
My $0.02.

By the way, who's your mechanic, and how much does he charge for the conversion ?
