gorper - assume you have a LH 2.2 or 2.4 turbo (mine is LH 2.4.2)?
My prob initially started just @ 2800 RPM, most noticable when going down a gentle grade. Mostly when engine hot, but sometimes also when cold. Accel was fine, at that point.
Has recently spread to 2500 - 3100 RPM, w/2800 RPM still the 'peak' going down gentle grade, w/new mild stumbling on accel
Have also taken all STEPS you listed above, w/exception of pro-cleaning of injectors, to no avail.
Addtnl:
Faults found per Bentley: my ignition amplifier tested bad; 2d one from salvage yard also tested bad. May get a 3rd, but have read of others w/strong runners who's ignition amplifier test bad. No voltage rise to 6V (Bentley 340-10)
Orig knock sensor doesn't generate voltage when tapped; same thing w/2d one from salvage yard (2 DMMs used)
No ground, with key on, at AMM harness #4, but do have batt voltage at #5 (Bentley 240-14). I can't tell from the wiring diagrams, whether the AMM grounds thru its own pin #1, or thru the LH ECU grounds
Have also voltage dropped and continuity tested virtually every wire in both the LH and EZK wiring diagrams
Have tested all sensor resistance values
No night arcing.
Ran a fuel pressure gauge thru firewall into cockpit: pressure is good/steady when car is acting up
Car also runs strong above 3K RPM
