Pry the switch pack out of the center consol (screwdriver against the little slot on the rear end I think) and disconnect from the wiring harness. Bring the switchpack back in the house and carefully pry off the bottom cover, use those slim "eyeglass" screwdrivers with the fine blades to pop the tabs out of the little holes.
When the cover comes off, a bunch of little copper V shaped contacts will fall out. Clean the black carbon tracks off these and the switch contact points with fine grade sandpaper and reinstall in there positions in the switch. Put the cover back on, reconnect the harness and pop the pack back into the console. Thats all it should take.
The problem is caused by electrical arcing that causes a carbon buildup that blocks the electricity through the switch. Search on the board, this is a normal occurance. You do not need a new switchpack. Good luck.
