After a 4 hour breakdown/towing extravaganza yesterday, I thought I had fixed my car. It now bucks violently and stalls out if load is placed on the engine. I have to slip the clutch through the gears to get it moving. It is worse after the engine warms up. I don't know what to look for next. It will go at highway speeds and idle forever, but when demand is placed on it, it wants to stall. Car is 1992 900 Turbo.
Here is what I checked/replaced:
found water in the air hose and intercooler (assumed water injection system at fault / swapped intercoolers & disconnected water injection.
checked all air hoses
tested turbo bypass valve by placing pressure and vaccuum on line -seems fine
swapped spark plug wires and checked plugs (all are properly gapped and dark grayish black - running rich)
replaced distributor cap and rotor button (new distributor as of may)
checked compression (see my post below about compression test)
I don't know what to do next, please help...
Thanks,
Chad 92900T
