1. Where on earth is the final clip/screw/bolt that is keeping the right side of the dash from coming out? The left closest to drivers door) came out wonderfully...which leads to my next question: THERE SHOULD BE 4 LONG BOLTS HOLDING THE DASH IN. THEY ALL ENTER FROM THE BOTTOM. GET ON YOUR BACK AND LOOK UP FOR THE ONE YOU MISSED.
2. What is the hard black drinking straw tube thingy to the immediate left of the steering wheel? My first guess was maby some sort of cold/fresh air return or draw? At any rate it came disconnected and I can't for the life of me figure out where it gets connnected to? I had the heater blowing when it came loose and this leads me to my 3rd and final (for now) question... IT'S A SLEEVE FOR ONE OF THE LONG MOUNTING BOLTS TO PASS THROUGH. SORT OF A GUIDE TO KEEP IT ON TRACK TO GET TO THE TOP HOLE AND MOUNTING POINT. IT SHOUL FIT ON THE BACK SIDE OF THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER BETWEEN THE UPPER AND LOWER MOUNTING HOLES. MAY WANT TO TAPE OR GLUE IT IN PLACE.
3. Why the blank doesn't my heater work now? The blower still works great but I must've also disconnected the heater duct.... where is it located, I can't see for beans back there! Or maby the black tube thingy are related?
Any insight into this would be greatly appreciated! PROBABLY DISCONNECTED THE STIFF METAL ROD THAT RUNS FROM THE TEMPERATURE SELECTOR KNOB TO A CONNECTION BEHIND THE STEERING WHEEL, DEEP INSIDE THE DASH. REMOVE THE LEFT DASH SPEAKER AND REACH IN THERE TO LOCATE IT AND REMAKE THE CONNECTION WHEN REINSTALLING THE INSTRUMENT PANEL.
