you may have to move PS pump to make your life easier.
also, if you can't get mount/bushing off the crossbolt because its seized to crossbolt, try twisting it back and forth around the crossbolt, before you try driving it off the crossbolt, as suggested. i got quite a few off this way, eventually the inner metal sleeve of the bushing lets go of the crossbolt.
i used cream hand soap, it's already got water in it, so very convenient to use. all the soap gets squeeezed out when you press the new bushing back in.
would recommend the http://www.twinsaab.com DIY and their idea of makeing a piston ring compressor out of tin. worked well for me for the uppers, but had to resort to more serious methods for the lowers (dad made a metal funnel that helped get that first stubborn lip into the mount, and a special drift with an aligning portion that went 3/4 inch into the bushing, keeping it straight).
what i'd like to know is, how did you find out that ONE bushing failed? is it loose, or does it squeak, or what?
thanks,
Wayne
