Front brake dragging

Well, I put my 1990 Saab 900 (Sedan) back on the road today after 15+ months sitting relatively idle (I did drive it occasionally up and down the road but nothing more).
The brakes felt like they were dragging. I jacked up each wheel and checked. The rears are okay. The front right is definitely dragging and tonight when I drove the car about 5 miles, there was a hot smell from the front right and the rotor got quite hot.
So, based on some inputs on a posting earlier this week on this same subject, can the guide pins be checked and greased with high temp grease without removing the whole caliper? I don't see this covered in my Bentley Manual...
Thanks for any help and step by step directions.
