I just did this job 4 weeks ago. See my post. Removing the hood is a time wasting nuisance in this case. I own a 900 tc and all I needed to do was pull the turbo ducting, pull the intercooler, pull off the fans and disconnect the wires and hoses. Then just twist the bolts holding the radiator until they spin free or break. If they break replace with thick cable ties.
TIME SAVING HINTs!!!!!!
1) The lower fan screws are rediculous. The fan shroud lowest screw hole should be notched so that the hole is turned into an inverted "U" open at the bottom. That makes re-assembly a snap. Just place new screws into the new fan, loosely tighten down to shroud while radiator is out of car, remove shroud and instal rad. Then slip shroud onto lowest screw without struggling.
2) The upper radiator rubber bushings need to be re-used. To remove, FIRST SLIDE OUT THE CENTRAL METAL TUBE! You will rip the bushings otherwise.
P.S. I think I am misspelling shroud. (Shrowd?)
