I live in Lake Ridge on I 95. Yes, you can fix this. What you need to do is remove the distributor and take the rotor off. There is a little cir clip that holes the cover that fits on the shaft over the hall effect sensor. You might need a little puller to remove the cover. Once this is removed, you will see the wires. You maybe able to splice the wire from there or you will have to unscrew the three screws that hold the bracket that the hall effect sensor in attached to. Remove those screws and the hall effect sensor and bracket will come out by pulling it out. You now will have access to the wire/s and should be able to fix it. Put together in reverse order. If that does not work, get a used distributor and install. Hope this helps. george
