ok so i tried to start my 88 900S this morning. it is about 2 degrees outside right now here in western mass. and the car literaly won't start. the battery is perfectly fine but the engine makes about a quarter revolution and then nothing. i've done almost everything recently to prepare for the cold weather (new battery, coolant temp sensor, coolant flush, etc...) but just no luck. i'm a little worried that i might get stuck somewhere as i have to fly out west for a few days and i'd like to be able to drive home rather than sleep in my car at the airport. anyway, i've noticed that with a heavy coating of snow on the hood, the car starts with no problems in the coldest conditions. obviously the snow is acting as a blanket but are there any suggestions as to what i could do as i only have a one car garage which my uses for the passat.
thanks for all the continued help,
alan
